Williamson County CrimeStoppers is a program which involves the public, the media and law enforcement in the fight against crime. It offers anonymity and cash rewards to people who provide information leading to the arrest of criminal offenders. If you recognize the person or know about the crime, you should call Crime Stoppers.

 

Call 1-800-414-TIPS (1-800-414-8477) to give a tip. Our lines are not configured for caller ID.  Phone calls are not traced.  Phone calls are not recorded.  The “tipster” does not give her/his name.  All tips are confidentialDetectives process the information and assign a tip number to the “tipster”.  Law enforcement agencies receive the information and investigate the information submitted by the callers; callers should check back often to see if their information qualifies for a reward.

The Board of Directors, depending on the circumstance of each case, determines the reward amount, ranging from $50 to $1,000.  (The rewards are significantly higher in some high-profile cases or when sponsored by a concerned entity(s) with a stake in the case.)

 

The Williamson County CrimeStoppers Board of Directors is comprised of concerned citizens of Williamson County who volunteer their time to oversee the operation of the program. Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization under section 501©3 of the IRS code, and is funded through donations from the public. Contributions are tax-deductible.
